HM appoints envoy to UN

His Majesty King Gyanendra has appointed Madhu Raman Acharya as Nepal’s permanent representative to the United Nations (UN).

This was stated in a notice issued Thursday by the Press Secretariat of His Majesty the King.

Last week, the meeting of council of ministers had decided his appointment for the post. The post had remained vacant for the last 10 months.
