High-level Swiss delegation arriving Tuesday

A high-level delegation of the Swiss government led by Deputy Secretary of State, Heidi Tagliavini, is arriving in Kathmandu on a six-day visit Tuesday.

During the visit, the Swiss delegation will hold a series of high-level meetings including with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, Maoist chairman Prachanda, UML general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, Speaker Subash Nemwang, Foreign Minister Sahana Pradhan and Information and Communication minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara.

These meetings will be focused mainly on the Swiss assistance for the upcoming constituent assembly election and the Swiss development projects in Nepal.

The five-member delegation is also scheduled to inspect the development projects run by the Swiss Agency for Development and Corporation (SDC) in Sindhuli district and also visit the Maoist cantonment site in the district.
