The government will soon implement juvenile court regulations in 12 districts of the country.
Speaking at a press meet on Wednesday, secretary at the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare (MoWCSW) Punya Prasad Neupane, said the necessity of regulations was felt to ensure juvenile justice.
“The regulation provisions for a child psychologist, social worker and judge in the team to look after the child involved into criminal activities,” Neupane said.
Urmila Aryal, minister for MoWCSW said, “If the system impacts positively it will be expanded to other districts.”
