The government, Thursday midnight, increased the retail prices of petroleum products (POL), citing losses caused by the widening disparity between the domestic and international POL prices.
As per the new decision, the price of each petro-product is increased by Rs 5. >From now on, petrol per liter will cost Rs 67, diesel Rs 46, kerosene Rs 39 and air transport fuel Rs 53. No changes have been made in the LPG gas cylinder prices. The government had increased the LPG gas Rs 900 from Rs 800 per cylinder.
Even with the revision of the POL, the NOC will incur a total loss of Rs 282 million, the NOC said. Earlier, it the corporation incurred loss of Rs 500 million monthly, reports said.
