Vice-Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Kirtinidhi Bista, has said the government is ready to hold talks with opposition political parties and the Maoists so as to resolve current political crisis and restore peace in the country.
He told this while talking to members of the Citizens’ Peace Commission (CPC) at his residence on Friday.
“Dialogue is the best way to resolve the crisis dogging the county”, reports quoted the vice-chairman as saying tjournalists after the meeting with the CPC members. He, however, did not clarify as when the government would start the negotiation process.
The CPC members including former Supreme Court justice Krishna Jung Rayamajhi, Himalaya Shumsher Rana, diplomat Rajeswor Acharya, among others, had met Bista at his residence.
