Government has formed an Electoral Constituency Delineation Commission under the chairmanship of former judge of the Supreme Court Ram Nagina Singh, Thursday.
The meeting of the council of ministers held this morning at Singh Durbar – second time after the formation of the current government – has appointed former Nepali ambassador to Germany Dr Nobel Kishor Rai and secretary at the Prime Minister’s office Swayambhu Man Amatya as members of the commission.
The government took the decision as per the amendment made in the interim constitution to increase the constituencies in 20 districts in terai region to ensure proportional representation of all communities in the constituent assembly.
