Biratnagar, June 1: Home Minister Govinda Raj Joshi has said that the home administration is committed to guaranteeing law and order to the people.
Addressing a regional interaction programme of the officials of the eastern development region here today, Minister Joshi said the executive body should work for the people, the nation and the democracy with good intention.
Mr Joshi said the CDO and the security personnel should not forget their responsibility to work with good intention to control terrorist activities and corruption rather than with principles alone.
The people should be guaranteed that there would not be any wrongdoings, the Home Minister said, stressing the need of controlling terrorism in the coming days.
Mr Joshi said the terrorist activities which is in it initial stage in the eastern development region should be controlled in time.
Noting that the salaries of the employees had been increased with a view to create an congenial environment for working without thinking of other matters, the Minister said the government and the country should get the return from the increase made in the salaries of the employees.
The people should be assured that the works are being carried out smoothly in the districts, he added.
Home secretary Padma Prasad Pokhrel said we have to assure the people that the law and order situation is reliable in the country by controlling terrorist activities.
Altogether 60 persons including the CDOs, the police chiefs, officers of the National Investigation Department, the Home Ministry and the police headquarters are taking part in the interaction programme.
