Speaking at a press meet on Saturday, Rana said “The SPA government, which has the serious responsibility of restoring lasting peace and stability in the country as per the people’s aspirations, failed to introduce a concrete plan regarding the prime issue of arms management.”

Rana also said that the government has failed at the very onset on the issue of arms management. “They have written to the UN but there is nothing concrete done so far. So much so that there is confusion on who wrote what,” Rana further said.

On the issue of the Maoist decision to demolish the fence on the way to Hotel Yak & Yeti erected by Nepal Industrial Development Corporation, Rana said, “Since the government is unaware of such an incident taking place at the heart of the capital, it proves that there is no government presence even in the capital.”

Rana also said that the SPA government was trying to misuse local bodies as their private property, dividing them up among themselves.

Rana however praised Prachanda for issuing orders to dissolve the so called “People’s ‘Courts”. More needs to be done, he added.

Rana also warned of strike if the government did not correct such irrational and discriminatory decisions.
