Lalitpur, Mar. 24: The National Council meeting of the Nepal Para-veterinary and Livestock Association began with the slogan “role of skilled technicians, the national need of the 21st century” here today.
Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Sharma Majgainya, while inaugurating the meeting, said every one should perform their duty fearlessly, impartially and transparently for the development of the nation.
Skilled technicians have an immense role to play in making more effective the agriculture development programme, Mr Majgainya said, adding that His Majesty’s Government will do its utmost to fulfill genuine demands forwarded by the association for their professional rights and interests.
Agriculture secretary Dr Mukti Narayan Shrestha observed that providing quality services to farmers is the need of the day.
Director general of the Department of Livestock Services Dr. Pralhad Sapkota, deputy director general Dr. Nil Prakash Singh Karki and others also spoke at the function chaired by association president Krishna Bahadur Nagarkoti.
