Free Orthopedic treatment and training Camp at Janakpur

Orthopedic & Trauma Foundation Nepal, a local NGO in association with Impact Nepal and Nepal Medical College, Kathmandu is organising a free Orthopedic Treatment Camp for physically disabled people and training workshop for the Rural Practitioners at Janakpur for three days from 27 Dec. 2002, a press release said.

It is expected that about 300 needy patients will be provided with free orthopedic consultation by experts and necessary simple operative procedures will also be performed locally. The complicated cases will be forwarded to the ‘Centre for Rehabilitation Surgery’ at Nepal Medical College, Kathmandu for free treatment.

Also, about 25 local ‘Rural Practitioners’ will be given training on primary management of common orthopedic & trauma related problems.

Impact Nepal is providing logistic support for the free treatment camp, Nepal Medical College is providing expert manpower and Orthopedic & Trauma Foundation with support from World Orthopedic Concern, UK is organising training workshops during this period. (press release from NGO)
