The three-day third general convention of Rastriya Prajatantra Party RPP has elected four women members in the central committee, a RPP source told Nepalnews.com.
Prativa Rana, Roshana Karki, Durga Shrestha and Renu Kumari Yadav were elected in the voting. The vote counting is still continuing in Pokhara, with the result of the party president to come around midnight.
Pashupati SJB Rana is expected to be elected president of the RPP to succeed Surya Bahadur Thapa. Rana is general secretary of the RPP.
His nearest rival is Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohini who is the vice chairman of the RPP. Central committee member Rabindranath Sharma is the third candidate for the presidency.
