Four killed; 40 injured in a road mishap in western Nepal

At least four people were killed and nearly 40 others injured when a bus carrying marriage procession met with an accident in Nawalparasi district of western Nepal on Thursday.

A bus with registration number GA 1 KHA 1263 bound for Bardhghat from Nawalparasi carrying marriage procession met with an accident at Daunne zero mile area of Nawalparasi district.

Two people died on the spot, while two died while undergoing treatment at Lumbini Zonal Hospital Butwal.

One dead person has been identified as Mana Bahadur Gurung.

Of the 40 injured people, the condition of seven are said to be critical.

Five injured people, who are in critical condition, are undergoing treatment at Universal Medical College Bhairahawa.

50 people were traveling on the bus, when the mishap occurred.

Five persons including three persons of a family were killed and 43 injured in a road accident in Kanchanpur district of far western Nepal on Tuesday morning.
