Four Injured in Bear Assault

Kathmandu, Nov.14: Four persons were injured in assaults by bears in two villages in Kalikot district Friday, daily newspaper Gorkhapatra reported in its Tuesday editions.

Bears pounced on 33-year-old Baudilya Bhandari while she was returning  home in Gola village from a water mill severely injuring her.

Locals rescued her from  the claws of the black bear.Thirty-year-old Maipura Shahi of the same village was attacked by bears while two others from Odanku village were also injured in bear attacks, reports said.
