FNJ reminds govt of its demands

Kathmandu, July 12: A meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists held in Dhulikhel recently, drew the attention of the government to the speedy implementation of ll out of its l7 demands on which agreement has been reached and called for discussions on the remaining points with a view to arriving at a decision.

The meeting called for changes with regard to press and publications law in the bill for making some amendments to the Communications Act presented in Parliament recently.

The meeting also constituted a 9l member media village construction main cooperation committee under the chairmanship of federation chairman Suresh Acharya and a l0 member media village construction executive committee, a three member press acredition rules amendment task force under the convenorship of Tara Nath Dahal, a three member national advertising policy suggestions task force under the convenorship of Karunakar Pandey, and a three member press material distribution policy suggestions task force under the convenorship of Om Sharma.
