The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) has expressed grave concern over the continuous strike in customs points and urged all to create conducive environment for operation of industries.
Issuing a press release on Wednesday, the FNCCI has said that most of the industries in terai region including Hetauda are in the verge of closure due to shortage of raw materials due to the custom points closure.
The FNCCI also drew the attention of the Nepal government towards the situation that many industries will be displaced from Nepal if the situation remained same for some days.
Stating that the industries are not in the position to pay the remuneration of the labourers due to the strike, the FNCCI urged the government to create conducive environment for the operation of industries by resuming operation in government offices and custom points.
The FNCCI has urged the Nepal government, political parties and all concerned to create environment for resumption of industries.
Although it withdrew indefinite Terai bandh, the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) has continued other agitation programs such as custom-points and government offices closure.
