FM Pandey calls on Qatari Crown Prince, Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister Ramesh Nath Pandey, met Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of Armed Forces of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday and held discussions on matters of bi-lateral interests.

A press statement issued by the Royal Nepalese Embassy in Doha, Qatar said the duo exchanged views on various ways and means of further expanding and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Following the meeting, FM Pandey also held bi-lateral talks with Qatari foreign minister Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al Mahomoud.

Qatar has agreed to invest in certain priority areas identified during the course of meeting and urged the foreign minister to encourage the Qatari private sector to invest in Nepal.

Qatar has also agreed to provide more jobs to Nepalese nationals in security related jobs and also to provide employment opportunities for trained Nepalese women, the statement adds. nepalnews.com pb Apr 12 06
