Five Maoists held in India

India has arrested five Nepali Maoists on Saturday night from their rented house in the Indian town of Ghodasan in Purbichamparan district, a Kathmandu based daily reported Monday.

According to Nepal Samacharpatra, the arrested have been identified as Shambhu Chaudhari, Shesh Mushfar, Amin Miya, Baliram Chaudhari and Manjulari. The daily added that all of the arrested were initially from Rautahat district.

Their ranks and positions in the Maoist hierarchy is not known yet.
