Five persons were killed and 21 others were seriously injured, six seriously, in two vehicular accidents last week.

Two persons died and 21 others were injured in a head on collision between a bus and a motorcycle at Bhalebas in Palpa Thursday, police said.

A motorcyclist died on the spot and a bus passenger died in hospital while undergoing treatment; the bus fell 15 meters off the highway after the collision.

A bus mowed down three members at Tilganga in the capital Friday night. Those killed were Sunil Shrestha , his wife and nephew.
