Body of an insurgent was recovered after exchange of fire with the security personnel guarding the repeater station belonging to the state-owned Nepal Telecommunications Corporation (NTC) at Kapurkot in the mid-western district of Salyan on Monday, the communiqué said.

In yet another incident, an insurgent died when the socket bomb he was carrying exploded at Sadhu ilaka in Narayan Nagar municipality in the mid-western district of Dailekh on Sunday, the RNA said.

In yet another incident, an insurgent was killed by his own comrade in a scuffle that ensued while they were extorting money from local people in the eastern district of Morang, officials said.

There has been no word from the rebels as yet regarding these incidents.
