Five injured in landmine blast in Dang

At least five persons, including three civilians, were injured when a landmine planted alongside the security fence near a security base camp at Arjunkhola area in the midwestern district of Dang, exploded accidentally Tuesday morning.

Three civilians walking on the road and two policemen were injured, two of them seriously, in the blast, according to reports. The seriously injured persons have been taken to Nepalgunj for treatment while three others returned after treatment at a local hospital.

The landmine was planted for the security of the security base, reports quoting police said.
