The first national all party co-ordination committee to raise awareness against terrorism met in the capital Monday. The committee was formed on the initiative of the CPN-UML, the main opposition in parliament, Friday.
The committee will organize rallies, public meetings and seminars against escalating Maoist violence.
Govinda Raj Joshi (NC), Bharat Mohan Adhikari (UML), Dr. Prakash Lohini (RPP) and smaller left parties in parliament attended the meeting.
Nepal Sadbavana party did not attend.
