Kathmandu, June 25: Popular Nepali actor Rajesh Hamal and actress Karishma Manandhar who have dominated Nepali cinema following the restoration of democracy are to be honoured as the most popular actor and actress of the decade.

They are to be honoured with the title during the third Nepal Motion Picture Award and Nepali Film Festival-2000 to be held in the capital from July 7 to 9 under the joint auspices of Nepal Motion Picture Association and Nepal Film Producers Association.

Actor Hamal who made his debut from the film “Yugdekhi Yugsamma” in 1990 has so far featured in more than 70 films while actress Manandhar began her film career with a glamourous role in film “Santan” and has acted in nearly 40 films.
