Expert calls for forming CA Commission

A prominent constitutional expert has pointed out the need to form Constituent Assembly (CA) Commission.

At a programme organized by UNDP/Constitution Advisory and Support Unit in Biratanagr on Sunday, Yash Ghai, constitutional expert, said such Commission is necessary in order to resolve disputes and debates that could arise during the CA elections and the process of writing the constitution, reports Nepal Samacharpatra daily.

He also added that undue delay in holding CA elections could encourage undemocratic trends.

Ghai said that after the CA elections, the international community wants to see people of Nepal enjoy full rights and work in a united and independent manner.

At the programme, speakers such as human rights activist Sushil Pyakurel and Yubaraj Sangroula also made their remarks about various aspects of restructuring of the state.
