Elections will be held in six phases spread over two months, the first phase will begin on November 13 Wednesday and will cover 15 districts including Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur, EC spokesman Tej Muni Bajracharya said.
Officials at the Election Commission are busy working out the election schedule despite a holiday.
The Commission has rejected the UML’s proposal to hold the elections in three phases. It has also turned down the government’s recommendation to hold the elections in seven phases.
EC will make public its decision about the phase wise elections in the evening.
