The Kathmandu District Office Thursday freed Editor Tikaram Rai on bail, his lawyers said.

Editor of tabloid daily newspaper “Aparahna” was arrested earlier this week under the Public Offence Act for publishing an alleged defamatory report against a senior police officer. The arrest under the Act was widely condemned.
