The security forces deployed in Libang, Rolpa have failed to rescue the locals from the Maoists’ announced economic embargo in the region, Rajdhani daily reported on Tuesday.

Maoists have completely stopped the agricultural and other consumption goods entering the headquarters for the last 2 weeks. Transportation in the region has completely stopped resulting in scarcity of daily consumption goods in Libang. The prices of edible goods and others have been hiked almost 100 percent.

Maoists announced the economic embargo in the region as revenge to the killings of their cadres by the security forces.
