A man in a drunken stupor hacked to death six persons with a khukri, including his mother, wife, daughter, aunt and seriously injured another at a village in Tanahu district Monday night, police said.

Chuda Bahadur Kuwal killed his mother Khuiti, 56, wife Murali, 35, aunt Kali, 74, daughter Ranjita, 26, two neighbours and seriously injured another person and fled, police said.

Police have launched a massive search and sent a team to Phurkot village from district headquarters to investigate the murders.
