Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is on a weeklong visit to India, met with Indian Prime Minister Dr Man Mohan Singh and External Affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi on Monday.
At the meeting held this afternoon, Oli apprised the Indian Prime Minister about the ongoing talks with the Maoists, particularly the issue of arms management, and discussed the areas of Indian cooperation for economic development of Nepal, Indian media reports said.
Earlier today, Oli held a meeting with Indian External Affairs minister Mukherjee.
Emerging out of the meeting, Mukherjee told reporters that he received latest information from Oli about Nepal’s ongoing peace process and added that all bilateral issues including economic and industrial cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
The DPM will hold meetings with other Indian political leaders and senior government officials.
He arrived in the Indian capital last evening with a nine-member team.
