Kathmandu, Mar. 21:Raj Parishad Standing Committee Chairman Dr. Keshar Jung Rayamajhi has stressed the need for greater awareness among the people to stop caste discrimination in society.
Inaugurating a seminar on the problems of the downtrodden and human rights organized by downtrodden’s human rights and caste discrimination concern centre here today, Dr. Rayamajhi spoke about the importance of education and greater awareness among the people to do away with caste discrimination.
National Assembly member Lal Bahadur Bishwokarma called for unity among the downtrodden.
President of the centre Man Bahadur Bishwokarma presented a working paper on the conditions of the downtrodden.
Lawyer Bishwokant Mainali commented on the paper.
Ex-MPs Jagat Bahadur Bogati and Dal Singh Kami also spoke about the problems of the downtrodden.
