Former Ambassador to Japan Dr. Bharat Prasad Dhital succumbed to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident near Hetauda Tuesday, family sources said. Dr. Dhital while undergoing treatment at the B & B Hospital where he was being treated after being airlifted to the capital.
Dr. Dhital was cremated Tuesday. The driver of the vehicle died on the spot and another person was seriously injured. Dr. Dhital is also a former Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission; he worked briefly with the FAO. He was 68. He is survived by a wife, two sons and one daughter.
