Kathmandu,Aug.26: Devi Ram Thapa has been appointed new chief of the intelligence unit, a senior government official said Saturday. The government appointed Thapa chief of the National Investigation Department where he was previously Senior Additional Chief Officer.

The Home Ministry oversees the work of the Department. Similarly, Lalit Bahadur Thapa has been promoted as Additional Chief  Officer of the Department.
