Devanagari keyboard, new font for Nepali computer users

Dhak Prasad Upreti has developed a Devanagari keyboard and Manjari font for Nepali computer users.

Talking to Nepalnews, Upreti informed that he had developed the keyboard and font to remove the difficulties of previous keyboards and fonts developed in Nepali language.

He informed that words can be typed in Nepali, Sanskrit, Maithali and Hindi language through his keyboard and font easily.

He also claimed that his font received the National standard as his keyboard is scientific and easy to use.

Upreti, who drives the vehicle of Deputy Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that it took him six months to develop the keyboard and font.

On the question as to why he was motivated to develop the keyboard and font, he said, “As a user of Nepali fonts, I encountered various weaknesses so I developed the keyboard and font to overcome such difficulties,” he added.
