Talking to reporters on his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Deuba said Indian leaders, during meetings with him, expressed readiness to assist Nepal in strengthening democracy, peace and economic development.
In New Delhi, Deuba had met with Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, defence minister Pranab Mukherjee and several leaders of both the ruling and opposition political parties.
Responding to a query, Deuba said there was no need to seek substitute for Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at the moment even when he is having continuous health problems.
He also said his party was ready for reunification with the Nepali Congress if its president PM Koirala takes initiatives for that.
