His Majesty King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev accepted the resignation submitted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Ram Chandra Poudel through Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, according to Royal Palace notice.

His Majesty, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, has allocated the vacant portfolio of Home Ministry to Minister for Foreign Affairs Chakra Prasad Bastola.

Deputy Prime Minister Poudel tendered his resignation Friday citing differences with the Prime Minister.
