Deputy Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) and other 18 ward members who had resigned from their posts in May have returned to office on Saturday, according to Sunday news reports.
In a press statement, the officials apologized for the inconvenience they caused to the people of Kathmandu by their absence and said they had resigned because Surya Bahadur Thapa had resigned from his post.
“The situation has changed now as a major member of the agitating parties has quit the street protests,” the officials added in their statement.
