Floods and landslides have now killed another 14 persons in four more districts since last Sunday raising the death in this year’s worst natural disaster to 251, the Home Ministry said.
Landslides Friday killed seven persons in Baglugh, including five members of one family. The natural disaster has hit 41 of the kingdom’s 75 districts, the Home Ministry said.
Japan Tuesday offered Rs.6.5 million in emergency relief assistance to the victims of the floods and landslides. The assistance will arrive in the capital Thursday, the Japanese Embassy said.
Vehicular traffic resumed on the Dharan Dhankuta Highway after workers removed landslide debris Tuesday, the Roads Department said.
