Two girls of Tanahun, who had been missing for the last two days, were found dead in Pokhara’s Fewa Lake Wednesday morning.

The dead bodies of Harimaya Sigdel, 19, and Shashikala Sigdel, 18, of Kihun VDC in Tahanun district, were fished out of the lake near Baidam area, according to pokharacity.com.

They are suspected to have committed suicide by drowning themselves together, police said.

The two girls, who were staying in Ward No. 5 in Pokhara Sub-metropolitan City, were missing following the news of their failure in SLC supplementary exams.

Investigation into their deaths is underway, police said.
