The Patan Appellate Court officials, in a report submitted Tuesday, said they were unable to hand over the warrant notices issued to the Maoist leaders, a published report said Wednesday.

“The officials said they were also unable to paste the notices on the houses of the concerned persons,” The Himalayan Times said. The officials were chased away by the Maoist cadres when they tried to paste the notices on the houses of Maoist leaders Prachanda, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Ram Bahadur Thapa and others, the daily said.

The warrant notices were issued with regard to a case in which Maoist leaders have been indicted of assassinating former Armed Police Force chief Krishna Mohan Shrestha.
