Cook to visit Nepal from April 20

Kathmandu, Apr. 17:At the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs Chakra Prasad Bastola, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom Robin Cook will be paying an official visit to Nepal from April 20-21.

The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs will be accompanied by his wife Mrs. Gaynor Cook and some senior officials of Her Britannic Majesty’s Government, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the visit, His Majesty the King will grant audience to the Secretary of State.

Mr Cook will also pay courtesy call on Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.

Secretary of State Cook will hold official talks with Minister for Foreign Affairs Bastola at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 21.

Later the same day Mr Cook will visit British Gurkhas camp, Nepal at Jawalakhel.

Minister Bastola will host an official dinner in honour of Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom on April 21.

Mr Cook is scheduled to leave Kathmandu on April 21.
