Construction of NA Veteran’s Hospital begins

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala laid the foundation stone of the Veteran’s Hospital and Diagnostic Centre of the Nepal Army, which being established at Mahankaal, Kathmandu, on Monday.

According to the army, the hospital is being established with an aim of providing better medical services to retired army men as well as the civilians. The hospital which is being constructed at the premises of the Tri-Chandra Military Hospital will also adjust the growing pressure of patients on the Chhauni-based Birendra Army Hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, PM Koirala said expressed hope that construction of the hospital would be completed on time.

Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, army chief Rukmangad Katawal and foreign diplomats were also present on the occasion.
