Talking to journalists at Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival on Friday after participating in the conference of Asian political parties in Seuol of Korea, Deuba said the party unification depends on the act of Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress, Girija Prasad Koirala.
Dueba further stated that unity between two congress party is not possible unless there is conducive environment for dignified unity of the party from the district level to the centre.
He also alleged that Koirala is of trying to split NC (D) and attract a section of people.
Deuba was expelled from NC on May 26, 2002 saying that he dissolved the parliament without party’s consent and Deuba formed NC (D).
Koirala held discussion with founding member of Nepali Congress Krishna Prasad Bhattarai about the unification process of the two party.
Deuba also said that his party is ready for the party reunification at any time.
In a reply to the query about when the parties will unite, the former president said, “I am not an astrologer to say when would the party unite but it will.”
