An eight member committee has been constituted under the convenorship of Sarad Sharma for the construction of a statue of Her late Majesty Queen Aishwarya Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah, founder chairperson of the Social Welfare Council.

A meeting of the Social Welfare Council Board of Directors chaired by Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare and chairman of the Council Gore Bahadur Khapangi took the decision to this effect.
