Commission to study women laws

KATHMANDU: Government this week formed a commission headed by Secretary of the Judicial Council Kashi Raj Dahal to study and prepare a report on any existing discriminatory laws against women, an official announcement said.
The commission has eight members.

The announcement did not specify a timeframe for the commission to submit its report to the government.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba announced his intention to appoint the commission after his appointment in July.
