Commission threatens action against abusers

The Commission for the Investigation of the Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Wednesday issued a stern warning to politicians and senior officials to return government vehicles being used for personal or face punitive action, a CIAA announcement said.

The CIAA has threatened to make public names of abusers causing government millions of rupees in losses.

The CIAA has already recovered 35l government vehicles from senior officials, including Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba after investigation.
