Senior officials of the government of the People’s Republic of China are visiting Nepal to assess the situation of the country.
According to the official news agency Rastriya Samachar Samiti, the team will discuss ways to assist in the political transformation that took place in the country recently and the peace process initiated by the new government.
Vice Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China Wu Tawei is scheduled to arrive in Nepal on Thursday leading a 10-member high level delegation in a three-day visit to Nepal.
China described the royal takeover of the February 1, 2005 as internal affairs of the country and continued assistance during the direct rule of the King despite all countries stalling their assistance to the government led by the King Gyanendra.
