The Nepal Army has appointed Brigadier General Ramindra Chhetri as its spokesperson and the head of the Directorate of Public Relation (DPR).

Chhetri replaces Ananta Bahadur Thebe, who was recently promoted to Major General. He had worked at the DPR earlier as well.

Chhetri was badly injured in a Maoist attack in Kathmandu on 28 August 2003, a day after the Maoists broke a seven-month long ceasefire.
