To collect funds for journalists who were ‘victims of violence’, the Nepal Sports Journalist Forum (NSJF), under the umbrella of Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ), is organizing a charity football match between league champions Manang Marshyangdi Club and Nabil Three Star Club (NTSC) on 22 July.

In a press meet organized on Friday, NSJF Vice President and FNJ treasurer Hemanta Kafle highlighted the event. “We are organizing this event for a noble cause. So, we are hoping to see good crowd at Dasrath Stadium”. The fund collected will be a sigh of relief to those journalists who were maimed and tortured during the civil unrest in Nepal,” Kafle said.

In the program, NSJF, an umbrella association of Nepalese sports journalists, thanked the participating teams and those related to the event. NSJF has also revealed that it will allocate a certain match fee for participating players. The collected fund will be divided into four parts; NSJF, two participating teams and welfare fund of FNJ.
