SPAIN: Lionel Messi has booked the 50th hat-trick of his career. Messi has completed the score after beating Sevilla 4-2.
He has scored the goals against Sevilla in 26th, 67th and 85th minutes. It shows that Messi is never slow and still growing up in the age of 31. In all competitions, he has scored 33 goals in 32 games.
His third goal against Sevilla was his 650th career goal.
KATHMANDU: The Goldhunga Sports Society has raised Rs 5 million to construct a stadium at Goldhunga in Kathmandu by organizing Srimad Bhagwat Saptaha Gyan Mahayagya.
In the memory of late congress leader Sudarshan Acharya, ‘Sudarshan Goldhunga Memorial Stadium’ is to be constructed by the Goldhunga Sports Society.
Acharya was the founding chair of the society. The Society owns 75 ropanis of land in Goldhunga where the stadium will be used, according to Devendra Aryal, secretary of the Society.
KATHMANDU: Kanchhi Maya Koju succeeded in clinching the ‘Pinkathan Half Marathon’ title of its third season.
She won the title by completing the race held today at 1 hour 21 minutes and 44 seconds.
Kanchhi Maya of the Armed Police Force (APF) received a cash prize of Rs 51,000. This is her third straight win. She had won the marathon in the two previous seasons.
Likewise, Rajpura Pachhain, the first runner-up, completed the race in 1 hour 24 minutes and 33 seconds. Pachhain of Nepal Police received a cash prize Rs 31,000.
Similarly, APF’s Pushpa Bhandari completed the race at 1 hour 27 minutes, 30 seconds to become the second runner-up. She bagged a cash prize of Rs 21,000.
Likewise, Santoshi Shrestha of APF won the title of the 10 kilometers race. She received a purse of Rs 31,000. Chandra Raut and Saraswoti Kathayat got second and third positions respectively. Raut and Kathayat received Rs 21,000 and Rs 11,000 respectively.
The Pinkathan, which is initiated by Indian actor Milind Soman, has gained wide popularity in India. The initiation has been aimed at building a healthy family, a healthy nation and a healthy world through women empowerment.

KATHMANDU: CYC Attariya won the third edition of the Dhangadi Premier League (DPL) defeating Mahendranagar United by three wickets.
Winning the toss, Mahendranagar United decided to bat first and scored 123 runs with the loss of seven wickets in allotted 20 overs game played at the Fapla International Cricket Ground in Dhangadi.
Receiving the target of 123 runs, CYC Attariya hit 127 with one run remaining. Sunny Patel of CYC scored the highest 47 run (not out) in 26 bowls with three fours and three sixes.
Deependra Rawat and Dipendra Sing Airee took two wickets, and Sunny Patel took a single wicket for Attariya.
Likewise, Mohammad Naveed and Sagar Dhakal took two wickets whereas Abhinash Bohara and Shahab Alam took a single wicket each for their team.
Sunny Patel was declared as the player of the match and man of the series.

Chasing the 41-run target set by UAE, Nepal achieved it in 10.2 overs losing three wickets. Captain Rubina Chhetry top-scored with 18 not-out runs including two fours and one six off 17 balls, Kajal Shrestha collected 15 runs including two fours off 25 balls while Sita Rana Magar contributed six runs off 16 balls, securing win against the opponent.
UAE’s Esha Rohit and Kavisha Egodage grabbed 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, UAE set a 142-run target for Nepal. Chamani Seneviratna secured 13 runs including one four off 29 runs while the other batsmen could not achieve double-digit runs. UAE was all out for 41 runs in 17.3 overs.

Except two players – Indu Barma and Sita Rana Magar, Nepal’s other players could not score double-digit runs. Barma was out for 29 runs off 44 balls while Magar scored 18 runs off 34 balls.

Nepal restricted opponent Malaysia to paltry 92 runs while it was chasing the 127-run target. Sarita Magar and Karuna Bhandari took two wickets of Malaysia giving away 12 and 14 runs, respectively, exerting pressure on Malaysia. Similarly Sita Rana Magar and Kabita Kunwar grabbed one wicket each.
While chasing the 127-run target set by Nepal, Malaysian cricketer Christina Baret was out for 21 runs, WA Duraisingam for 18 and Sasha Azmi for 16 while the rest batsmen could not reach double-digit runs.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal had secured 126 runs, losing five wickets in the allotted 20 overs against Malaysia.
