A group of 20-25 Maoists exploded bombs at the Agriculture Training Centre office in Mangalapur, a village near the southern city of Bhairahawa at around 8:30 pm Monday evening, a security source told Nepalnews over telephone.

A police team led by a superintendent of police has just reached the incident site, the sources told Nepalnews at 9:30 pm Monday.

No one is reported dead or injured in the incident, but the guard room has totally collapsed, the source said, adding, the police team is assessing the damage caused by the blasts.

In the meantime, the source further said they have received unofficial information that similar blasts have occurred in a school and a sub-radio station in Kunjalapur, another nearby village.

“Security forces are being delayed in reaching the incident site, as the road to the village is in bad condition,” the source added.
