Kathmandu, Jan. 3 : At the friendly invitation of Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Abus Smaz Azad, Minister for Foreign Affairs Chakra Prasad Bastola will pay an official visit to Bangladesh from January 8 to 11.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Foreign Minister Bastola will hold official talks with his Bangladeshi counterpart and undertake an appraisal of the entire gamut of relations between Nepal and Bangladesh with a view to further strengthening them in the years to come.
The Foreign Minister will call on the Bangladeshi President, the Prime Minister and the leader of the opposition. He will also have a meeting with the Minister of Commerce.
Mr Bastola will address a meeting of Bangladesh business leaders at the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on January 10.
Foreign Minister Bastola will be accompanied by senior officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Industry, Commerce and Supplies.
Mr Bastola will return home on January 11, according to the Foreign Ministry.
